Upload Best Practices
Upload from local hard drive
It is recommended to upload files from a local hard drive. Uploading from a networked drive can cause uploads to fail.
IT Best Practices
1. Ensure that CapLinked runs correctly and optimally
CapLinked supports the following browsers:
- Google Chrome
Google Chrome is CapLinked’s preferred browser and allows for enhanced uploading functionality.
- Firefox
- Safari
- Internet Explorer 10+
2. Ensure email deliverability
Add the following domain and IP address to your email sender whitelist to ensure email deliverability:
- email.caplinked.com
- em.caplinked.com
- IP: 198.37.158.49
If your firm employs and email hyperlink scanning system (e.g. McAfee ClickProtect), add the following domains to the Allow List:
- email.caplinked.com
- em.caplinked.com
- secure.caplinked.com
- caplinked.com
3. Ensure availability of the web file uploader
Add the following domain to your whitelist to ensure availability of web file uploader, which interacts with FilePicker’s API:
- *.filepicker.io
If wildcard domains are not permitted, ensure the following subdomains are whitelisted:
- api.filepicker.io
- dialog.filepicker.io
- assets.filepicker.io
4. Ensure functionality of FileProtect Digital Rights Management
Add the following domains to your whitelist to ensure viewability of documents with DRM applied:
• https://office-protect.caplinked.com/_wmcs/licensing
• https://pdf.caplinked.com
5. Ensure files are viewable in the browser
Create PDFs using the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat (PC) or Preview (Mac)
